I found these letters at a local wood store called The Wood Connection.
I like to work with scrapbook paper because I don’t have the best painting skills. Here are most of my supplies above.
I painted one side of each letter, along with the sides and all the hard nooks and crannies. In the above picture, the orange “O” is the back side while the “B” and white “O” show that the front is not really painted (just from the leftover paint on the sides)
Putting the front side down on the back of the scrapbook paper, I traced as best as I could around the letter. Once you have cut it out, you will need to make a few adjustments because in some places the paper will be a little bigger. You can also use sandpaper to give it a little more rustic look.
I wanted to give it a little something else and loved the green on the orange to make it look almost like a pumpkin. The other two are things I found in my drawer and thought it finished it off.
Simple and can be done in an hour, or even a nap time! Go check out the rest of the projects featured at the Halloween Series!
